Producer: Chris van Dusen
Genres: Romantic, Historical, Costume Drama
Wealth, lust, and betrayal set in the backdrop of Regency era England, seen through the eyes of the powerful Bridgerton family.
I have a weak spot for romantic series, that’s the first thing I need to share with you guys. Second of all, I have a weak spot for pretty costumes and clothing in both movies and tv series. This is a series that checks both of those boxes!
I watched this series in 3 days and it was absolutely wonderful. It had just the right amount of suspense to keep me entertained the whole time through.
The series is very slow with building up the drama, though it actually already starts from the very first minute. The acting work is good and it was very pleasant to watch.
Daphne and Simon are a very nice match and I loved their interaction. Their relationship builds very slowly, which is lovely to watch as it isn’t love at first sight. I got a bit bored with that type of storyline so seeing something like this is refreshing!
Surprisingly enough, my favourite characters aren’t Daphne and Simon. But they are Eloise (Daphne’s younger sister) and Penelope.
Bridgerton is a series to watch and dream away at. I certainly recommend this series!
